Pakistan Army on Friday again violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, leading to a heavy exchange of fire with Indian troops that was on late into the evening, officials said.
Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked and indiscriminate shelling and firing on Indian positions in Laam sector of the LoC in Rajouri in the evening, a police official said.
"Pakistan Army used small arms, automatics and mortars to target military and civilian facilities in the area. Indian Army is strongly and effectively retaliating. Firing exchanges were still going on when last reports came in," the official said.
Pakistan Army had resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri on Thursday evening. Firing exchanges between the two sides had continued for over one hour.
