Virat likes to take the game on just like I do: Jamieson Last Updated : 17 Apr 2021 07:57:16 PM IST Coming to India and bowling on slow pitches has been a learning experience for New Zealand pace sensation Kyle Jamieson who added that Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli's aggressive approach to the game complements his style of playing.
"[The pitches are] different than back home. The pitches back home tend to be a little greener than probably what we saw in the first couple of games here. They have been on the slower side. Not what I am used to," said Jamieson while addressing the media on Saturday."It has been a good challenge. I am enjoying it. I bowl fraction of a back of a length than probably what I am used to at home. I need to find the area which allows me to hit the zones I want to. I try change-ups too. It has been a learning experience," he added."I have been looking at what the right length is. My role in the team is simple, hit the pitch hard and try to move the ball both ways. Use my height and variations and fulfil my role for the team," he said about his role.Jamieson talked about Kohli's captaincy and said his approach complements the way he likes to go about things."He is such an experienced and skillful leader. I think the way he approaches the game complements the way I like to go about things. He is competitive and aggressive, likes to take the game on, which is something I like to adopt as well. That gets filtered through the team as well," added Jamieson.IANS Chennai For Latest Updates Please-
