Video: BJP MLA publically insulted women IPS officer, reduce her to tears Last Updated : 08 May 2017 01:52:53 PM IST (BJP MLA reduce women IPS officer to tears)
In Kareemnagar area of Gorakhpur women IPS officer was publically insulted and reduced to tears by BJP MLA.
BJP MLA in Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's parliamentary constituency got into a heated argument with IPS officer over evicting protesters, with the incident being captured on the camera.
Some people who were protesting against a liquor shop removed by the police complaint to local BJP MLA Radha Mohan Das Aggarwal, who reached the spot and started questioning Circle Officer Charu Nigam.
Protesters alleged that the police had hit a woman and dragged an 80-year-old man. Which angered the MLA and he started yelling on IPS officer about her action and remind her of state government order that liquor shops will not function in densely populated residential areas.
Amid the exchange of words, Nigam took out a handkerchief and wiped her tears. The visuals were captured and telecast by news channels. The police officer later accused the MLA of misbehaving and insulting her.
"The MLA misbehaved with me and refused to acknowledge in full public view that he is speaking to a woman police officer," Nigam said. On the footage showing her wiping tears, she said, "I did not weep, as it is not ingrained in my personality. However, I got emotional when my senior officer supported me."Seema Faizee/ Samay live desk For Latest Updates Please-
