A woman was allegedly molested and thrown out of a running train by a group of miscreants in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials said on Tuesday.
Officials said that the woman was travelling alone in the last Hasnabad local train late on Monday night when she was attacked by group of men after the train left Haroa station. She was thrown out of the train when she tried to resist the molesters.
The villagers found the injured woman beside the railway tracks on Tuesday morning and admitted her to the nearby Haroa hospital.
"The victim has sustained severe injuries on the head and legs. She has now been shifted to the Barasat sub-divisional hospital in a critical condition," an RPF officer said.
"No arrests have been made in the incident yet," he added.IANS For Latest Updates Please-
