Delhi LG Anil Baijal visits riot-hit areas in Northeast Delhi Last Updated : 28 Feb 2020 04:24:54 PM IST Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal along with Special Commissioner of Police S.N. Srivastava visited riot-affected areas in northeastern part of the city on Friday.
"I have come here to assess the situation and interact with the residents," the Lieutenant Governor told media persons at Maujpur.People, however, said they were not given enough time. Resentment prevailed among local residents in Maujpur, though people from rival sides came forward in an attempt to resolve differences.This was the first visit of the Lieutenant Governor to the riot-affected areas. He will also visit Chandbagh, Shiv Vihar, Bhajanpura and Karawal Nagar where clashes had taken place.Earlier in the day, Special Commissioner of Police S.N. Srivastava visited riot-hit areas and interacted with local residents. He also assured them that the government will provide adequate help to them.He has been camping in northeastern parts of the city since February 24 when he was brought back to Delhi Police from Central Reserve Police Force.IANS New Delhi For Latest Updates Please-
