Delhi assembly budget session to begin from Monday Last Updated : 05 Mar 2017 09:50:09 PM IST File Photo
The five-day budget session of Delhi Assembly will begin on Monday with Lt Governor Anil Baijal's address.
It will be Baijal's first address to the Delhi assembly after assuming office in the last week of December.
This year, for the first time, Delhi's budget will be outcome-oriented under which each budgetary allocation will be accompanied by a comprehensive set of quantifiable indicators, measuring outcomes, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has announced.
Like last year, education and health sectors are likely to get the big share of the Budget. In its 2016-17, the AAP government allocated Rs 10,690 crore for education -- 23 per cent of the total Budget -- while allocation for health sector was Rs 5,259 crore.
In this budget, there would be no separate Plan and Non-Plan classification of expenditures, but only Capital and Revenue heads.IANS For Latest Updates Please-
