Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Thursday launched the Facebook page of second Hunar Haat being organised by the Ministry here.
While launching the Facebook page, Naqvi said the social media presence of the event would popularise it nationally and internationally, which would benefit the participating artisans and craftsmen.
"We have tried to strengthen the traditional arts and craftsmanship of India through this event. Besides, there are also traditional foods from various corners of the country which the visitors can enjoy. These foods are also prepared by traditional cooks," Naqvi said.
The theme of the second Hunar Haat is 'Craft Aur Cuisine Ka Sangam' (confluence of craft and cuisine). More than 100 artisans and 30 culinary experts from across the country, belonging to the minority community are participating in the event.
He said that so far around 12 lakh people have visited the Haat which is being organised from February 11 to 26 near Connaught Place.
