Admission of 47 students, who had got admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya here through Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam)-organised Madhya Pradesh Pre-Medical Test (MPPMT), has been cancelled.
These students had taken admission in the medical college between 2008 and 2015.
Dean of the college Dr. M.C Sangora told IANS on Friday that the action was taken against the students on Thursday in line with the directive of the Supreme Court issued in connection with the irregularities in admission process.
The list of the expelled students has been released. In 2013, when the Vyapam scam had surfaced, large-scale irregularities were detected in the MPPMT examination process. A Special Task Force (STF) formed to probe the matter had found that these students had fraudulently taken admission in the medical courses.
