Kannada television actress Rekha Sindhu died in a road accident Vellore ' title=' on Friday near Vellore '>on Friday near Vellore in Tamil Nadu, police said.
The accident happened on the Chennai-Bengaluru highway around 2.30 a.m., a police official told the media here.
"She was Chennai ' title=' travelling to Chennai '>travelling to Chennai for an ad shoot. There were six people in the car including Rekha. The vehicle lost control and hit the median," he said.
Rekha died instantly while the others were injured.
"Two of them who were critically injured were admitted to the CMC Hospital at Vellore. Others with minor injuries have been brought to Chennai," the official said.
