Modi to attend Bodo accord celebrations on Feb 7 in Assam Last Updated : 04 Feb 2020 01:26:51 PM IST ABSU ready to welcome PM Modi on Feb 7 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Kokrajhar in Assam, on February 7, to participate in the celebrations over the recently signed Bodo Agreement.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to address the gathering to hail the historic Bodo Agreement signed in January this year.More than 4,00,000 people from the BTAD (Bodoland Territorial Area Districts) districts - Kokrajhar, Baksa, Udalguri and Chirang and all over Assam will attend the event which includes a cultural programme of ethnic groups of the state.As per the agreement signed in New Delhi on January 27, nearly 1615 cadres of different factions of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) surrendered their arms and joined the mainstream within two days of the signing of the agreement.A special package of Rs 1500 crore has been earmarked for the development of the region.IANS New Delhi For Latest Updates Please-
