J&K govt posts Abdul Gani Mir as Additional DGP law and order Last Updated : 16 Jul 2020 10:13:38 AM IST Abdul Gani Mir The Jammu and Kashmir government has posted Abdul Gani Mir as Additional director general of police (ADGP) law and order in the union territory.
An order issued late on Wednesday night by the Union Territory's home department said that Abdul Gani Mir IPS (JK-1994 batch) is posted as ADGP law and order.The order said Mir would continue to hold the charge of ADGP police headquarters in addition to his new responsibility.The post of ADGP law and order was last held by Munir Ahmad Khan who retired on June 30, but was nominated as member of the UT's backward commission before his superannuation.
