Gurugram malls likely to open in few days, no lockdown again Last Updated : 26 Jun 2020 08:14:35 PM IST Mall (file photo) If all goes well, the shopping malls in Gurugram could reopen in the next few days as the district authorities are mulling the issue, even as Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri on Friday clarified there was no plan to reimpose a lockdown in the city.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner did not give an exact date when the malls would be allowed to resume operations. "The malls will be reopened in the next few days (likely in the next week) but their managements will have to ensure the Standard Operating Procedures as per the COVID-19 protocols," Singh said."We will appoint officers to look for violations and in any such case, the district administration will initiate the process to close that particular mall," the officer said.He said that even the city parks will be reopened to visitors from July 1 subject to health protocols though there is no plan till now to reopen religious places.On Friday, five more coronavirus patients died in Gurugram, taking the total death toll to 81. As many as 93 more positive cases were reported, taking the total positive cases so far to 4,952, including 3,266 patients who were cured.Meanwhile, Khatri said: "The country is heading toward unlocking and hence there is no reason to lock down Gurugram again. However, we have decided to tighten security in the containment zones. We will deploy security personnel at entry and exit gates in a bid to ban free movement of residents," the Dc said."We will also starting a strict door-to-door screening in containment zones to detect coronavirus patients," Khatri said.Meanwhile, the district administration has announced hospital charges for corona patients following directions from the Haryana Health Department.Under category one, the charges for an isolation bed in hospitals falling under National Accredited Board For Hospitals and Healthcares (NABHH) will be Rs 8,000 per day. Patients admitting in the ICU (without ventilator) will have to pay Rs 13,000 and those in the ICU and on ventilator will have to pay Rs 15,000 per day.In the second category, patients will have to pay Rs 10,000 for an isolation bed, Rs 15,000 for ICU bed and Rs 18,000 for ICU with ventilator support in hospitals recognized by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and NABHH.IANS Gurugram For Latest Updates Please-
