India-Russia Developing Nanoparticles To Fight Cancer

The National Research Technological University of Russia - NUST MISIS has a cooperation agreement with Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kolkata, India. They are carrying out their research on developing Nanoparticles that fight against tumors. Apart from that they jointly work with Institute of Technology in Delhi on fundamental research of magnetic properties of new alloys for next decades.

Sergey Kaloshkin, Director of the Institute of New Materials and Nanotechnologies of the NUST MISIS discussed various research projects they have been working on tumors, tissue engineering, devise for early diagnosis, and development of new materials for medical use. India and Russia cooperating in the field of health.

The National Research Technological University of Russia - NUST MISIS specifically focuses on integrating science, education, and innovations. Scientists & Researchers of NUST MISIS held a video press conference/interaction in New Delhi.

Sergey Kolashkin explained that The National University of Science and Technology is presently providing Science Education to more than 15 thousand students including 3600 foreign Students from 69 countries. Last year 9 Indian students completed their post-graduation from MISiS.

Alexander Osipov, leading researcher of the Department of Functional Nanosystems and High-Temperature Materials of the NUST MISIS said that the motto of NUST MISIS is to invent the technologies to make diagnose easily so that diseases could be detected in earlier stages.

Emphasizing joint work of NUST MISIS & Indian Scientist Dr. Senapati Dulal from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics in Kolkata, Alexander Osipov, leading researcher of the Department Functional Nanosystems and High Temperature Materials of the NUST MISIS said that Dulal’s work in the sphere of Gold Nanoflowers and Nanospheres was highly appreciated and is funded by Russian Ministry of Education & Science and Department of Biotechnology India.
