The Amarnath Yatra, which commenced on Thursday, was suspended from Udhampur due to heavy rain and landslide on the National Highway.
The Jammu-Srinagar national highway was blocked on Friday due to landslides due to which, no pilgrim was allowed to move towards Kashmir.
The annual Amarnath Yatra began on Thursday morning and the first batch of yatris were flagged off from Pahalgam in Jammu.Around 4,000 pilgrims on Thursday left the Jammu base camp for their onward journey to the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir.
The first batch of 4,000 devotees left the Yatri Niwas at Baltal in Sonmarg early Thursday to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in Kashmir Valley.
