Jayaprada made her Hindi film debut itself with a story that focused on her dancing skills. Sargam, the 1979 super hit , gave her a Filmfare nomination. Jayaprada worked opposite Amitabh Bachchan in a series of hits and Satyajit Ray who watched one of her starrers declared her the most beautiful face on the Indian screen.
