Earlier, actress Nargis Fakhri had been signed on for an item number in the film, however, due to shooting conflicts, Esha Gupta was then cast as a replacement. Imran's wife, Avantika, also featured in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in a half-second flash. Avantika has featured in as many as three films of Imran, Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na, I Hate Luv Storys and Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and the actor confessed she brought good luck for the films.
