- First poster of Akshay Kumar's 'Airlift' released

Superstar Akshay Kumar has shared the first poster of his upcoming film "Airlift", based on the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war (1990-91). The movie, directed by Raja Krishna Menon, also stars "The Lunchbox" actress Nimrat Kaur.The black-and-white poster shows an aircraft flying above a runway, laden with smoke and fume.Written on the poster is, "1,70,000 Refugees, 488 Flights, 59 days, 1 man." "Mark the date guys... @AirliftFilm releases on 22nd January, 2016. #AirliftTeaserOnWednesday," Akshay captioned the poster. The 48-year-old actor further tweeted, "How many people know about the Kuwait evacuation? I'm proud to be part of a film that brings this true story alive." He also shared another black-and-white image, showing him sporting a serious look. "India airlifted over 1,70,000 people from Kuwait in the largest human evacuation in history," he captioned the look.
