Veteran actor Vinod Khanna was hospitalised in Mumbai on Friday and some rumours suggest that the actor is suffering from cancer.

Vinod Khanna was hospitalised at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon and the hospital remained tightlipped about his health but his son Rahul Khanna on Tuesday issued a statement saying that the actor is suffering from severe dehydration.

"Dad was hospitalised on Friday (March 31) for severe dehydration. The situation was quickly brought under control, he's doing much better and the doctors are looking to discharge him soon," Rahul Khanna told media.

As soon as the news spread, good wished poured in and Rahul, who is also an actor, added that the family is "touched by all the good wishes pouring in".

However,  there are rumours that the actor is suffering from cancer.
