Model Bella Hadid says she couldn't get out of bed for six days after she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.
The 20-year-old, her mother Yolanda and brother Anwar have all been diagnosed with the infectious disease, which can cause a range of health problems, including arthritis and heart failure. Hadid says the discovery was the "hardest time" of her life, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"I couldn't get out of bed for six days. And my brain would get all foggy, and I couldn't see. That was the hardest time of my life," Hadid told Net-a-Porter magazine. The model, who was involved in a two-year relationship with singer The Weeknd before they split in November 2016, says she is focused on her professional life rather than dating at the moment.
"I'm just really focusing on myself, and my work, and just being the best that I can be. I'm not really worried about what guys think about me, I'm just trying to be a woman!"
