Actor Atul Kulkarni will play Brigadier Sathey in the first digital show to be launched under Ekta Kapoor's ALTBalaji. It will be directed by Nagesh Kukunoor.
Atul will play a tough taskmaster, ensuring that the soldiers are trained to the best of their abilities.
Talking about the role in the yet untitled show, Atul said in a statement: "As an actor, it has always been my endeavour to work on stories and characters that are challenging and pose a unique point of view.
"When Nagesh spoke to me of this character and the series, I was excited because not only does the character resonate with many people but we also get insight into a world which we know so little of. To partner with Nagesh on this is very exciting."
