Actress Anushka Sharma released the first trailer of her home production "Phillauri", which is scheduled for release on March 24.

"Watch the love story of the spirit... Shashi! #PhillauriTrailer on YT http://bit.ly/PhillauriTrailer … @foxstarhindi @OfficialCSFilms," Anushka posted on her Twitter handle along with the YouTube link of the trailer.

The trailer shows Suraj Sharma being declared maanglik and he is made to ,arry a tree. But Shashi, a ghost (Anushka Sharma), stuck in the tree starts to haunt him, claiming he is now married to her. Most of the time Anushka is seen floating in the air.

But like our very own 'Bhootnath', she is also a friendly spirit with a remaining desire, because of which she is lurking around.  

Shot extensively in Punjab, the film features Diljit Dosanjh, Suraj Sharma, Mehreen Pirzada and Anushka in key roles.

Co-produced by Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films -- Anushka's production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma -- "Phillauri" is a fun-filled romantic Hindi film set in Phillaur.

Directed by debutant Anshai Lal and written by Anvita Dutt, the film's shoot had begun on Baisakhi last year and the shooting wrapped in June, 2016.
