Sovereign Gold Bonds issue to open on Monday | ||||||||

The first tranche of the Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB) scheme will open for public subscription on Monday, the government has announced. "Government of India has decided to issue Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18 - Series I. Applications for the bond will be accepted from April 24, 2017 to April 28, 2017," a Finance Ministry statement said here on Thursday. The Ministry said the bonds will be issued on May 12, 2017.
The government said the bonds will be sold through banks, post offices, Stock Holding Corporation of India (SHCIL), and recognised stock exchanges -- National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). | ||||||||
