Astrologer Bejan Daruwalla's weekly predictions from (29th April 2017 to 5th May 2017)

Sri Ganeshaya Namaha

Aries: There will be a powerful and tremendous shift in focus. Now it’s your work, family, life as a whole, the  universe as a whole, too that you will be concerned with and you will strive to create a rare balance, harmony, concord and accord with them and between them all. You will try to reconcile the different pulls. Of course for you, ties, bonds, attachments will be the total reason for life and living. From this will naturally come great joy in love, marriage, marital harmony and romance, if unattached. A wonder to behold!

Taurus: You have miraculous faith not only in yourself, but in all of mankind, human nature in its total, complex entirety. This kind of cosmic awareness is one of the chief prerogatives of your sign. You will carry on with splendid confidence, self – assurance, downright valour. I’d call it, ready to fight for your beliefs, if required. And these beliefs centre round house, home, family and the quality of life. You will feel that your home is your castle and try to make it sage against any kind of onslaught: Land, property, building, construction, renovation, maintenance will be the focus of your activities this period. 

Gemini: After all the peace and harmony that prevailed, Dame Fortune sends down a bit of a thunderbolt. Financial jugglery, buying, selling, lending, borrowing keep you busy. Much to do with sex, passion, too. And mist paradoxically religion, ceremonies and prayers, dealing with the dead as well as the living. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if you’re confused. Is it any wonder that the stars also predict a slight chance of illness, health hazards, even perhaps an accident, a shock or loss.  

Cancer: You stuck it out, didn’t you? And lived to tell the tale. There will be listeners galore as you party and socialise, as a direct contract to last period. Family and friends are warm and affectionate, there’s love and laughter to chase away the blues you might have felt. Also, there is spectacular success in plans, projects, ventures – both old and new. Good company, good times make you one happy mortal around this time. Ganesha chuckles when I tell him that I feel somewhat envious.

Leo: Personal relationships – just that and nothing else. I mean, what’s important for you this period, though you’ll hardly be doing nothing else. Far from it. All kinds of transactions keep you totally involved – family affairs, entertaining and visitors, and of course, financial transactions, too. Business, pleasure, personal life, the works, in fact. You will have to be an acrobat to swing from one to the other, but do it you will. The millennium seems to be giving you large servings of everything. 

Virgo: It’s still personal relationships that are centre – stage with you. All the emotions, joys, sorrows, feelings, bonds and ties associated with them will be vital. In fact, if I were to spell them out, I’d put them into three separate compartments – a) your own creativity and talents – and their best use; b) your children, their activities and requirements, and; c) domestic affairs and commitments. All of them will require your best and sincerest efforts.  

Libra: Dreams may come true, hopes and wishes fulfilled about now. Its good, of course, for all the signs but you’re one of the luckier ones, Pisceans. Whatever else I go wrong on, I’m almost totally sure of this prediction. What I really wouldn’t like to spell out is whether this realisation of hopes and dreams will be personal or professional, or both. Normally, for Pisceans, I’d put my money on the first named but the planets can do strange and mysterious things, and nothing surprises me anymore. 

Scorpio: You will fix your sights firmly on the distant horizon of the future and make your way there firmly and determinedly. You’re ready to mould the world, the future, the millennium to your own special design. You will have the inspiration, the flair to make the right moves, choices to modify your perspective, your behaviour, your priorities to get where you want to be. Meanwhile, in the immediate present, there will be, in addition, involvement and performance of rituals and ceremonies, may be even rites of religion and society.
  

Sagittarius: You’ll be bogged down by the expenses you have to cope with. They could be connected to the last sentence of the previous forecast. You may feel lonely, perhaps even abandoned, as you struggle to cope. It’s your joyous interaction with children that will give you solace and strength. In fact, they could enjoy marvellous success, especially at interviews and examinations. And so do you. In fact, you will really have a lot to be happy about. Positive thinking will also help you overcome your angst, loneliness, weltschmertz (world sorrow). In any case, Pisces makes it natives prone to this, along with the soft – bellied Sagittarians. (Me, too).

Capricorn: You’re eager, willing, keen to reach out a helping hand to others, with absolutely no hidden agenda or ulterior motive. It just makes you feel good, and helps you equally. Some of the most dedicated activists and social workers come from your sign. You’ll certainly be very, very busy and it’s sheer hard work, too You will struggle to create time for your dependents, projects, pets but you’ll do it. Take it easy when you can.

Aquarius: You will earn, and truly merit the respect of others. Somehow, that doesn’t surprise me at all. You will grow and develop tremendously as a human being – spectacularly so. In more concrete terms there could be a promotion, raise, perks, greater job benefits, awards and rewards, public recognition, personal satisfaction. I hope you feel suitably grateful to Ganesha for this. 

Pisces: It’s yourself you want to improve, your own lot you want to better. It could also be the effect of all that’s happened to you last period. Whatever the reason, you embark on this self – enhancement drive as a single point programme. As is always the case with Pisces, the motivating factor is your own idealism, the lofty ideas and sentiments that compel you to do this. And do it you will. Actually, in doing so, you help others and benefit them.
